I have been in the field of nursing for over 30 years in the United States and The Bahamas.  I received my Bachelor's, Master’s, and Ph.D. in Nursing from Barry University, Miami Shores, Florida. I have been teaching in Nursing and Allied Health Professions at the University of The Bahamas for 18 years. My research interests include addressing issues on wellness promotion to close the health disparity gap.  I have co-authored publications on Prison conditions and health, plagiarism among college students, intimate relationships among high school students, and authored predictors of breast cancer among Bahamian women. I am currently a faculty academic senator, a member of the faculty board, and an academic senate curriculum program committee.
